Civil registration authority has become the most crowded public
institution last week due to the government’s renewal of registration
before its scheduled social transaction.
Countrywide campaign on renewal of civil registration directed all Mongolians to clear up their document violations, and residence addresses. However, residents were told to be re-registered at his or her related khoroo or smallest administrative district. But the State Civil Registration Authority has seen the most crowded days last week as the registrants were hurried up before the deadline expires in August. The government intends to make another social transactions, a third since the year beginning, of around MNT10,000 every month eligible for each citizens including minors from its sovereign wealth distribution fund – Human Development Fund. The previous one-time transactions of MNT70,000 were largely blamed for soaring inflation and hike of major consumer good prices.
According to authorities, this re-registration measures would be foundation for the upcoming population and housing census scheduled to take place in October, and the citizens’ chip-based smart card introduction of next year. |
