This year, over 15, 000 representatives from Mongolia, Russia, China, Yakutsk, Kalmyk and Uzbekistan took part in the international festival.

There were so many Buryat’s people with their national costumes and also number of shamans from Buryat gathered to participate in the festival.

At first time, the “Altargana” took place in 1994 in Dadal soum, Khentii aimag.

During the festival, arts and cultural contests, sports competitions and several exhibitions were hosted in UB within the framework of “Altargana-2010” festival.

Finally, a biggest joint concert and closing ceremony was held in the Cultural Central Palace on July 23, 2010. In the biggest concert, all winners of these competitions took part and were awarded with prizes.

The concert was started by a dance named “Round dance of Altargana” and state prize winner S.Sukhbaatar staged a dance.

Then, “Khosogton” folk rock band performed in the biggest concert and Buryat’s honored actress D.Dolgormaa, state honored artist M.Naidalmaa, A.Buted, Meritorious cultural worker Sh.Naranchimeg and people’s artist of Buryat D.Jargalsaikhan sang a well-known songs such as “Gamnaarai”, “Khan Shuvuu” and “Yokhor” in there.

One of the wonderful things was a fashion show. It was so amazing and the fashion show of Buryat’s national costumes.

In addition, the 10th biennium “Altargana-2012” international festival of Buryat’s people will be held in Chita, Buryat.
