Parliament Speaker D. Demberel has left Ulaanbaatar for Geneva to attend the 3rd World Conference of Parliament Speakers on July 19-21, 2010.

The three-day conference to be opened by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, will gather more than 150 speakers of the parliaments in Geneva. The event is expected to adopt a declaration on “guaranteeing the global democratic responsibility for the common good. 

Held once every five years, this year’s conference would mark the third such gathering. The previous two conferences were held in New York.

The Speaker Demberel is accompanied by MPs Ts.Davaasuren and L.Gantumur and heads of departments of foreign relations and public relations.
