A senior official of the Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural
Development (MARD) has pledged to encourage businesses to invest in
Mongolia in the principles of equality and mutual interest.
Tran Kim Long, Deputy Head of the MARD’s International Cooperation
Department, made the statement at the Mongolia-Vietnam Business Forum
held in Hanoi on August 5. Long said the Ministry will help businesses
solve outstanding problems and develop solutions to boost bilateral
trade and investment relations.
The instability in inflation over the last few years makes the rate of
tuition fees for the universities and colleges increase in the country,
making many families unable to cover study costs of their children. Only
last year alone, the universities and colleges increased their tuition
fee rates up by 0.5-22 percent.
Prime Minister S.Batbold is currently in Bayan-Ulgii Province. As soon
as he arrived from Uvs Province, Batbold met with the provincial
authorities and residents, giving details about current government
actions and future plans.
Mongolia and Japan will advance bilateral economic relations into more
strategic development of “comprehensive partnership”, two countries
agreed this week in Tokyo.
On July 29, visiting Minister of Minerals and Energy D.Zorigt met with
Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada who reaffirmed Japan’s strong
interest in the development of Mongolia’s major mining projects.
