The international, peace supporting operational exercise “Khaan Quest 2010” closed on August 21 at the Tavan Tolgoi Training Area, outside Ulaanbaatar City. It was co-sponsored by the Mongolian Armed Forces (MAF) and the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM), and executed by U.S. Army Pacific, with support from the U.S. State Department.

Livestock Insurance Program Speed up in Mongolia Print E-mail

The Government of Mongolian with the help of the World Bank is implementing the Index-Based Livestock Insurance Program (IBLIP) since 2006.
Insurance is provided through partnering with local private insurance companies such as “Mongol Insurance”, “Bodi Insurance”, “Prime Insurance” and “Practical Insurance”. Last year alone, out of MNT1.8 billion planned to grant as compensation of the index based livestock insurance, the Government started to allocate MNT622 million to herders from 48 soums of four provinces, through Khan Bank of Mongolia.
 
Govt to Pay Half Year Students Tuition Fee Print E-mail

The Government is to pay for students’ tuition fee for second half of academic year from the Human Development Fund beginning from 2011, states the Prime Minister S.Batbold.

Excise Tax on Petroleum Changed Print E-mail

On Wednesday, cabinet meeting passed a decision to reduce excise tax on “A-80” petroleum imported through such border checkpoints as Sukhbaatar, Zamin-Uud, Ereentsav and Altanbulag.
