Unit-Tarialan Road Loan Agreement Ratified Print E-mail

The Parliament ratifies the Loan Agreement Between the Government of Mongolia and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development on the Realization of the Unit-Tarialan Paved Road Construction.
The Project estimated to complete between 2010 and 2012 consists of construction works for approximately 88 kilometers between Unit – Tarialan on Unit – Moron Corridor to attain an all-weather 7m. wide asphalted road with 1.5m. shoulders on each side between Unit Soum, Bulgan Province and Tarialan Soum, Khuvsgul Province.

Ulaanbaatar government launched largest ever financed infrastructure projects last week. The first one closed vehicle traffic of Gurvaljin Bridge last Saturday for a complete renovation until August 25, 2010. All vehicles to pass the bridge was advised to choose alternative roads.
 
One Dead, Two Injured in Dornod Wild Fire Print E-mail

One person was burnt to death and two others were badly injured in steppe fire that raged Dornod province last Saturday. Eleven families left homeless in the serious fire that was 20km in width in Bulgan soum of the province. Dozens of animals died and three vehicles were burnt.
