The Mongolian People’s Party’s 3rd Conference was held at the Independence House on February 2 to outline their 20-year plan for country development.
The party accepted the strategic plan,      named ‘Imagination to Develop Mongolia.
Prime Minister S. Batbold said, “I want to say confidently that this is not just a dream, this program is ready to be implemented.”
The MPP emphasized, “Without policy based on scientific estimation and research, and without a long-term future plan Mongolia won’t develop enough”
The results of the Party’s 2 yearlong ‘Lets Listen’ program were also presented to members.

To gather information the MPP appointed a research team with over 40 scientists. They studied and compared the development paths of Qatar, Kuwait, and Norway to Mongolia.
The team found that, “The GDP per capita will reach to USD 12.491 in 2013, USD 50.000 – 60.000 in 2032 and become we will be a developed country.”
The MPP administration was pleased that the scientists’ estimations were similar to those made by the world’s leading banks and financial organizations.
The conference held special significance because it took place on the birthday of D. Sukhbaatar. MPP Members paid tribute by laying flowers at the Sukhbaatar Monument.
