Natural stone road links Ankara and Laagan streets

A 270 meter, two-lane natural stone road was completed between Ankara Street and Laagan Street, and Ulaanbaatar City Governor E.Bat-Uul visited the finished road project on Friday.
This is the third natural stone road to open out of nine planned for Ulaanbaatar this year. The first natural stone road was built from Gandan Tegchilen Monastery to the west, and the second road links Irkutsk and Denver streets.
With the new road, traffic around Bishrelt Hotel and the Zoos Goyol intersection is expected to decrease, according to city administration officials.
Natural stone paved road is known for its long lasting quality, rain absorption benefits, and is suitable for roads between apartment buildings.
Underground pipeline upgrade work can be done without permanently damaging the new pavement, as reconstruction is quite simple. Stone road construction can also be carried out in cold seasons as well.
