Pop singer Ariunaa’s biographical musical to be staged

By B.TUNGALAG

Mooli studio is planning to stage a musical based on the life of Mongolian pop singer T.Ariunaa.
The two-hour musical about the singer’s life and career will be staged on March 8, on International Women’s Day. The actress playing T.Ariunaa hasn’t been announced yet.
State Honored Artist T.Ariunaa is currently working on her new song called “In Love.” T.Ariunaa has been one of the major figures in the pop music of Mongolia since the late 1980s. Still popular among Mongolians as a pop diva, she is one of the highest selling artists of all time.
T.Ariunaa became UNICEF Mongolia’s first National Ambassador in 2001, when the Global Movement for Children launched in anticipation of the UN Special Session on Children.
