Trolleybus fare increases to 300 MNT

On Tuesday, Ulaanbaatar City Transportation Authority held a press conference and announced that Tsakhilgaan Teever LLC is increasing its trolleybus fare from 200 MNT to 300 MNT. The trolleybuses charged 400 MNT since Saturday until Monday, but the fare is now officially set at 300 MNT.
When asked about the reason for the increase, Tsakhilgaan Teever officials said, “Ulaanbaatar City Transportation Agency (UCTA) instructed us on Friday to increase the trolleybus fare from January 25. We did what we were ordered.”
Last week, public transportation bus fare increased to 500 MNT from 400 MNT which visibly increased trolleybuses passengers as it provided the cheapest transportation services in the capital.
