By B.ODONTUYA

A total of 104 kids from Japan, China, Russia, South Korea, North Korea and Mongolia have gathered together to celebrate world peace and friendship for the ‘Kids’ Asian Union Camp 2012’ assembly, which was held for the 12th time in Mongolia. The JCI organization in Mongolia organized the event which has the aim of promoting understanding about peace, solidarity and friendship between the above mentioned countries from young age. Board Member of JCI, T.Odnyam, stated that children attending the event aged between 6 to 12, lived together and helped each other while making friends. Children made and offered each other their country’s traditional meals and foreign kids were introduced to customs, traditions and the lifestyle of Mongolia. On Monday, the kids expressed their opinions by doing drawings at Sukhbaatar Square. Mongolian kids drew some paintings and narrated it with ‘We do not need gold! We need water!’ and South Korean kids with ‘Don’t throw garbage in the river!’
One student from ‘Orchlon’ secondary school Ts.Enkhjin said, “I am attending this activity for the second time. I lived together with kids from Japan and South Korea and we made very good friends. Being friends means not quarreling. Let’s create good things together.” Miroslova Cherdonova commented that, “It was nice and very interesting to live with my Mongolian, South Korean and Chinese friends in a Mongolian ger. Learning each others’ culture, history and traditions and befriending each other is one of the base factors of peaceful coexistence, to dream and live happily.
