Politicians win powerlifing competition

A team of politicians won a celebrity powerlifting contest held at the Central Sports Palace on January 18.
Celebrities from the politics, business and entertainment sectors competed against each other in various powerlifting disciplines such as the bench press and squats. Contestants were divided into three teams: artists, politicians and businessmen.
An actor from the Mongolian State Academic Drama Theater, G.Erdenebileg, won the barbell bench press category by lifting 180 kg. Director of the Cabinet Secretariat and Parliament Member Ch.Saikhanbileg placed second, pressing 175 kg, followed by the Minister of Industry and Agriculture and Parliament Member Kh.Battulga, who pressed 160 kg.
Ch.Saikhanbileg also won in the squad category, followed by Batdorj, a businessman, and pop singer D.Bold.
Cabinet Secreatriat Ch.Saikhanbileg led the competition with his overall score.

The politicians team won three medals, the artists team took gold and silver medals, and the businessmens team won a silver medal.
