New Year Tree lighting ceremony on December 15


The annual lighting ceremony of the New Year Tree will take place at Central Square on December 15.

The lighting ceremony was discussed during the regular meeting of the Ulaanbaatar City Administrative Council which took place on November 23.

The public celebration to welcome the approaching year of 2014 will be organized at Central Square on December 31.

The council is set to form a working group to manage activities dedicated for the New Year celebrations. The Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar in charge of Social Development, Ts.Enkhtsengel, will head the group and the head of the Arts and Culture Authority of Ulaanbaatar City, B.Battsengel, will act as the group’s secretary.
