Poll on vehicle restrictions to be held again

As winter is approaching, the Ulaanbaatar Citizen’s Representative Council and the Office of the Ulaanbaatar City Governor have conducted a public poll on whether to end driving restrictions based on state license plate numbers. The council decided to repeat the poll on Wednesday, November 27, to finalize their decision, as the previous poll results were inconsistent.

The first poll involved 31,280 citizens online, and 72.3 percent voted to stop the restrictions. Through a text message poll, 50.3 percent of 103,997 Mobicom subscribers  voted to continue the policy.

The poll will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and will include over 200,000 Mobicom subscribers.
