Luxury apartment sales increases


In 2013, sales of luxury apartments has risen compared to previous years. Out of total apartments on sale in September, luxury apartments made up around 40 percent.

Apartments in Khan-Uul District (district with the least amount of air pollution in Ulaanbaatar) are sold to mainly high-income households. Most luxury apartments and villas in Ulaanbaatar are located in Khan-Uul District.

As for newly built apartment sales are highest in Khan-Uul and Bayanzurkh Districts. Housing prices are lowest in the Bayanzurkh District and more housing projects are taking place in the area than any other district in Ulaanbaatar.

Currently, 227 housing projects are active in Ulaanbaatar and 34.4 percent is taking place in Bayanzurkh District alone.

Majority of the apartments sold in Bayanzurkh District is between the sizes of 40 to 50 square meters.
