New paved road links Dundgovi and Ulaanbaatar


Dornogovi Province and Ulaanbaatar hard-paved road  project was recently completed and the opening ceremony for the commencement of the 104 kilometers road took place at Delgertsogt soum of the province on November 11.

The Prime Minister of Mongolia,  N.Altankhuyag,  and administrators of Dundgovi Province as well as other road officials attended the ceremony.

The project constructions started on July 20, 2012. The residents of Dornogovi Province said that they are very glad to have a new road which will prove both time efficient and economical for the them. Three domestic companies and a Chinese company constructed the road at the cost of 49.2 billion MNT.

The State Special Commission approved the road, and now the locals and travelers are able to travel between Mandalgovi soum and Ulaanbaatar on the new road.
