Swans gather at Tsaigam Lake for hibernation

Every year, swans fly into the Ganga Lake in Dariganga soum of Sukhbaatar Province for hibernation.
Other flocks have been taking refuge from the harsh winters of Mongolia at Taigam Lake of Delger soum of Gobi Altai Province, for the past three years just as fall approached.
The residents of Delger soum said that they are very pleased by the increasing number of swans heading to their lakes for refuge each year. They claim that there are around one thousand swans taking refuge at the lake for hibernation this year.
Although it is common for swans to take refuge in many of the Mongolian lakes, it is never by the thousands. The most common destinations for hibernation are the Ganga Lake and the Kholboo Lake. Locals report that approximately 2,700 swans have flown in for hibernation this year.
