USA to invest additional 5.1 million USD in Mongolia

Yesterday, Minister of Economic Development N.Batbayar, and U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia Piper Anne Wind Campbell, signed an amendment for bilateral cooperation between the U.S. and Mongolia. As a result, 5.1 million USD will be provided as additional financing for Mongolia and used for projects to improve government responsibilities, strengthen civil society, and accelerate the efficiency of reform projects nationwide.

Ambassador Piper Campbell said, “Development support from the U.S. Government to Mongolia has been rising year by year. The government officials of the two countries signed a bilateral transparency agreement last weekend in New York, which symbolizes our continued strengthening ties.”

Since 1991, the U.S. Government has provided around 230 million USD grant-in-aid to Mongolia via international development agencies.
