Smugglers caught with 138 tons of raw material for mining explosives

With information from a citizen’s report, 138 tons of raw material for mining explosives were found at the loading area of Ulaanbaatar Railway’s Tolgoit Railway Station in the 11th khoroo of Bayanzurkh District on September 17. Suspects were loading the raw materials on to two nearby vehicles directly from the traincars when they were caught.

The police discovered that the raw material was imported from Russia and earmarked for mining explosives. The Bayanzurkh Police Department is now investigating the case.
