Women’s Draughts World Championship to take place

As the Mongolian Draughts Federation reported, the Women’s Draughts World Championship will take place from October 1 to 10 this year in Ulaanbaatar. The competition will attract players from Russia, China, Ukraine, Netherlands, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Estonia. Mongolia will be represented by three players. A total of 16 players from 10 countries will take part in this international tournament.


An international judge from Lithuania, Rima Danileviciene, will be the general judge of the competition. In addition, the President of the World Draughts Federation (FMJD), Harry Otten, and the FMJD Director for Competition Affairs, Jatsek Pavlitsky, will attend the event as honored guests.

Aside from this championship, Mongolia will also organize the Rapid and Blitz Open World Championships for Draughts on October 2 and 3.
