Poland to launch projects here worth thousands of euros

Within the framework of the official visit of Speaker (Marshal) of the Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz here, a signing ceremony of four projects was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

This ceremony was attended by the Minister of Nature, Environment, and Green Development and the Head of a Mongolian foundation for helping children with Down Syndrome, Ch.Oyun; a member of the Polish National Parliament and the Chair of the Committee on Environment Ms. Rotnicka Jadwiga; and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Poland to Mongolia, Mr. Tadeush Homitsky.

Two of the four projects, with a total cost of 66,000 EUR, are the provision of professional assistance and advice to families with children who have Down Syndrome; and, with help from the Mongolian foundation, a rehabilitation center for disabled children here.  The third one, in association with “Zorig” Foundation, is granting an oxygen equipment to a hospital in Gobi-Altai Province; while the fourth is supporting the intellectual development of children with disabilities.

These projects will be carried out under the framework of the “Small Non-Refundable Aid” program financed by the Polish Development Aid of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. The projects are entirely devoted to Mongolian children, enhancing their health and living environment and conditions.
