UFO to cover songs of Adele, Coldplay and David Guetta
UFO, a Mongolian band, will present a special show at the Brix Club on Saturday, December 15. The band’s manager E. Erdenemunkh answered some questions about the upcoming concert.
-What will be different about this show compared to other shows?
-UFO will meet its fans for the first time since winning third place in the Asian Beat Music Festival in October. This show is special in that the band will perform songs by world famous bands and singers, but in new versions. This will be different from the usual songs played in clubs and will allow young people to experience new and different things.
-How many songs will be performed?
-The UFO will perform five of its own songs and about 20 covers of songs of famous bands and artists.
-Which singers and artists will be covered?
-We decided to cover songs by Coldplay, Adele, David Guetta and others.
-What is the capacity of the Brix club? How many people are able to go to the show? How much will the tickets cost?
-The club has the capacity to take 500 people. The tickets are 10,000 MNT.
-When did the band start their preparations for this concert?
-This is UFO’s first live music show. Since the band is also going to perform the songs of famous artists, we started preparing for this two months ago.
-What are you planning after this?
-We recently made a video clip for our song Boroo (Rain). We are planning to release the clip before the end of this year. We are also planning to hold live music performances every season.
-What did you think mostly contributed to the band winning third place in the Asian Beat Festival?
-The best bands from over 10 Asian countries participated in the festival. Our band members worked well together. We communicated well with the audience and performed well, supporting each other. Regarding other participants, I observed that some singers had a tendency put themselves first, rather than be part of the band. I think our efforts to show ourselves as a united band was important for our success.
-I heard that a new album is ready.
-Yes. The album is ready and we have ordered a few advance copies to be produced. We would like to keep the album’s name a secret for now.
