Best Scientific Works Unveiled in Exhibition

An exhibition of science, technology and innovation products opened at the Mongolian Art Gallery on November 28. The exhibition involves five leading sectors that play a significant role in enhancing science and technology in Mongolia. The purpose of the exhibition is to connect private sector companies with state science sector organizations and to promote the companies’ products, according to B.Gantsetseg, the Chief of the Department of Information, Cooperation and Monitoring of the Mongolian Foundation for Science and Technology.
Over 70 products of some 40 small factories were unveiled at the exhibition. These included utensils, such as cups and plates manufactured in a glassware factory and medicines made in Mongolia. Among others, the “AMO-X6” energy saving electric heater made by the Shine Zuun-Erchim Huch NGO drew much attention. Following tests of this heater, the State Specialised Inspection Agency and the Energy Sector experts reported that it is efficient in supplying heat to small and medium sized buildings. This specific heater, made using Mongolian researchers’ engineering proficiency, is able to produce 50% more heat than other heaters currently used in Mongolian households. Each electric heater presently costs 1,200,000 MNT. But the officials stated that once the heater is manufactured in increased quantities, the price will decrease.
