President honors outstanding contributions to Mongolia with state medals

On the 95th anniversary of the Mongolian Armed Forces of Mongolia, the 35th anniversary of the launch of a Mongolian into orbit, and during the Kazakh celebration of Nauryz, on March 22 at the Government Palace, President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj presented state medals and honorary orders to people who have made great contributions in the fields of education, culture, sports, health, science, construction, industry, agriculture, and the environment.
World Bodybuilding Champion J.Nurlan, champion of the World Championship for Free Flight Model Aircraft M.Gongor, martial artist J.Narantungalag, and Suld Sports Committee chess player T.Batchimeg were awarded the title of State Honored Athlete.
State Honored titles were also awarded to select pilots, industrial workers, builders, teachers, economists, herders, cultural figures, scientific figures, mechanical masters, lawyers, and commercial experts. The Order of Polar Star, Order of Labor Merit, and Order of Military Merit were given to top workers in a number of fields.
President Ts.Elbegdorj and head of the President’s Office P.Tsagaan presented the medals and honorary orders and congratulated the outstanding figures for their achievements and significant contributions to the country’s development.
President Ts.Elbegdorj said, “Congratulations to all of you on behalf of all Mongolians. A lot of celebrations happened in March. On the occasion of those celebrations, the state bestows honors to outstanding figures of Mongolia. All of you try hard in the future. Good luck.”
World Bodybuilding Champion J.Nurlan said, “I become the first Mongolian bodybuilding world champion in Mongolian bodybuilding history. Today, I became the first State Honored Athlete in the sport of bodybuilding. I am very happy I received the State Honored Artist title during the celebration of Nauryz.”
