Emergency management agencies receive trucks worth 11 billion MNT

The National Emergency Management Agency handed 28 fire trucks and sevice vehicles worth five million EUR (approximately 11 billion MNT) to emergency management agencies of Chingeltei, Sukhbaatar, Bayanzurkh, Songinokhairkhan districts and those in provinces.
Sixteen of the vehicles were supplied by Austria’s Rosenbauer International through an agreement between the Austrian and Mongolian governments, and 12 South Korean fire trucks worth 4.6 billion MNT were supplied by Nomin Trading LLC.
The fire trucks and vehicles were designed and manufactured to fit Mongolia’s extreme weather.
In 2015, the state provided over 20 billion MNT to the emergency management sector and renewed the agencies’ technology. By receiving these vehicles, the capability of the emergency management agencies will increase by two to three folds compared to last year, noted officials.
