‘Color in Silence’


“Color in Silence”, a joint exhibition by 11 hearing impaired artists, opened at Best Art Gallery on February 25 and is on view until March 1.
The Mongolian Arts Council and Union of Deaf Mongolian Artists worked together to organize the exhibition with support from the Canadian Embassy in Mongolia. The exhibition aims to offer equal opportunities to all artists, and to encourage the creativity of hearing impaired artists.
The exhibition consists of paintings and illustrations by 11 artists. The work varies from abstract and traditional styles, to lifestyle and still life paintings. The artists utilized a variety of techniques to depict Mongolian culture and their inner worlds.
During the exhibition, various events will be organized for the artists, and viewers can join in discussions with them.
Participating artists and students from Secondary School No.29 will meet State Honored Artist S.Sarantsatsralt on February 26, at 3:00 p.m. Hunter’s College graduate E.Jantsankhorol will meet the artists at 1:00 p.m. on February 27, and the head of the Union of Mongolian Artists (UMA),  B.Tumurbaatar, will meet the artists at 3:00 p.m. on March 1.
Best Art Gallery is located on the second floor of the UMA building, west of the UMA Art Gallery.
