Thermal power plant staff produces bike rack using scrap

Young workers of Thermal Power Plant No.4 have recently made a bike rack using scrap metal next to their workplace, after joining an initiative to support cycling.
The workers built the rack without assistance of any professional manufacturers. The plant workers first got together for the project in May, and completed the first rack recently to show their support for the Mongolian Youth Federation’s Cycling Ulaanbaatar program.
The team reported that it will produce bike racks out of scrap metal for residents and organizations wishing to join the project for making affordable bike racks and supporting domestic manufacturers.
They hope that the reasonably priced bike racks will help residents protect themselves from bike theft and build an environment where the public is encouraged to cycle on a daily basis.
