Some 29,400 tons from the wheat harvest will be used for next year’s planting, 4,200 tons will be dedicated to the national reserve, 12,600 tons for animal feed, 9,000 tons for alcohol and spirit factories, and 186,200 tons of wheat will be supplied to flour factories.
An additional 27,000 tons of grain and wheat is available from the farmer’s support fund.
According to the Minister, Mongolia needs approximately 320,000 tons of wheat for its yearly consumption, but this year’s harvest is expected to be 106,000 tons short.
