Mongolian boxers seize five medals at Chemistry Cup

Mongolia scored five medals from the 42nd edition of Che­miepokal Boxing Tourna­ment, also known as the Chemistry Cup, which took place in Germany.
The tournament is annually held in Halle city and this year’s event challenged around 120 boxers from 19 nations. The competition concluded on Saturday.
The Mongolian team won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals from the tournament, ranking third out of the competing nations.
Uzbekistan claimed the championship title of the 42nd edition, while Germany ranked second, followed by Mongolia.
Arig Bank’s boxer and member of Aldar Sports Committee B.Chinzorig (64 kg) and member of Khuch Sports Committee B.Tuvshinbayar (69 kg) won gold medals.
International Master of Sport (IMS) G.Gan-Erdene (49 kg) won a silver medal and IMS A.Nurlan (52 kg) and IMS S.Erdenebayar (81 kg) secured bronze medals from the tournament.
The Chemistry Cup is considered as a high ranking boxing tournaments in the world and only top boxers are qualified to compete in the annual competition.
The Lander Boxing Association organizes the tournament together with German Boxing Association every year.
