Spring flowers in bloom

By B.NARANTUYA

State Laureate Artist of Mongolia, S.Sarantsatsralt is presenting her solo exhibition called “Gumuda” at the Lilium Gallery & Lounge through March 17.
The exhibition is dedicated to International Women’s Day and finds harmony in the paintings by artist S.Sarantsatsralt and poems by the poet M.Nasanjargal.
Gumuda is a mysterious flower that blooms in the moonlight. It is sometimes called the “Flower of Heaven”. S.Sarantsatsralt’s paintings bloom in her soul, as the Gumuda comes alive in the quiet solitude of the evening.
The overall exhibition is like a heavenly garden for visitors. It includes flowers nurtured by the artist’s soul and wildflowers thriving.
I think that most women are attracted to flowers. It was a lovely experience to go inside the gallery and be surrounded by beautiful flowers. Yellows in the paintings gleamed like gold and gave the paintings a classic and more delicate look.

Most paintings of flowers have common surroundings in nature, but the paintings of S.Sarantsatsralt seemed different. After seeing all of her paintings, it felt like the surroundings of the flowers weren’t common at all, but existing in a universe and natural environment that existed only in the mind of the artist.
