Leader of democratic revolution S.Zorig remembered

Fellow politicians, family members and supporters of late politician S.Zorig laid wreath on his memorial statue on Thursday, in honor his contributions to the people of Mongolia and democracy.
Every year, prominent politicians and ordinary citizens gather at the statue to show their respect to one of the leaders of the 1990 Democratic Revolution. The violent murder of S.Zorig, committed 16 years ago, is still to this day unsolved.
The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj who also led the revolution hand to hand with S.Zorig, Speaker of Parliament Z.Enkhbold, Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag and the politician’s younger sister and politician S.Oyun attended the ceremony to remember him.
“Hope is a thing that dies last. Our family still believes that the murder case will be resolved,” said S.Oyun, member of the parliament and Minister of Environment and Green Development.
