“Ezegnegch” wins the 48 Hour Film Project 2012


A film titled “Ezegnegch” by the “Absolute Pictures” team was selected as the “Best of the Best” for this year’s 48 Hour Film Project 2012, and the team was given the right to participate in the World 48 Hour Film Project in March 2013. Filmmaking teams from throughout the Mongolia area participated in the weekend (September 14-16) of filmmaking this year, with 27 teams submitting their films on time out of 30 participating teams. The closing and awards ceremony took place at the “Black Box” movie theatre on 24 September. This is the third time the project has been held in Mongolia.
The winners of the other nominations were as follows: Best film editing: “Love story” by the “Creative Art Group” team; Best sound editing: “Dald Davhraa” by “Bros Entertainment”; Best cinematography: “Dogol Mur” by “Tsahiur Chuluuniihan”; Best acting: “Dald Davhraa” by “Bros Entertainment”; Best directing: “Ezegnegch” by “Absolute Pictures”; Best writing screenplay: “Ezegnegch” by “Absolute Pictures”. The People’s Choice award went to “Nadad Gerel Heregtei” by the “Step Creative” team, and “Suulchiin Zoog” by the “Oyunlag” team won the Judges’ Award.
